Waves of Recognition and Awards for CIM Leaders and Championships
Posted on: 06 Dec, 2022
The commitment to service through Christian Love and excellence which are part of CIM's core values has recently earned CIM and its Founding Director recognition for the work done over the years. During the Utumishi Bora Awards hosted by the Kenya Christian Professional Forum (KCPF), CIM's Executive Director Bishop Dr. Titus Masika received two nominations and awards. Dr. Masika received a distinction in the Pioneering and Innovations category and got recognition in the Leadership Category as First Runner up before scooping the Overall Mtumishi Bora of the year award 2022.
Coincidentally, two other colleagues affiliated with CIM also got recognition for their work in different continents and spaces over the same weekend. Rev. Dr. William Devlin who is CIM's global Ambassador got the prestigious USA President's Volunteer Service Award for his decades of ministry aiding persecuted Christians and others impacted in war zones worldwide. On the same night that Bishop Masika received his award, the CIM Programs Director Rev. Jimmy Gor who is also a Director and Producer with the award-winning Christian Film Production Company Filmlab Kenya also received the Best Short Film award at the Kalasha Film and TV Festival for their premiere Christmas short film, Christmas Love.
Bishop Dr. Masika was accompanied by Mercy Masika, also CIM's Goodwill Ambassador and an award-winning Gospel artist, and his wife, Rev. Dr. Agnes Masika, who is also set to be awarded in the Kingdom Woman's "Honouring Mothers of Faith" event this month. Dr. Agnes is a leader in her own rights having championed a transformational Family Governance model that seeks to place the family at the Center of the church and community transformation. She also leads a ministry under CIM that serves over 2,000 widows in Machakos, Kitui, Baringo, West Pokot, and Makueni Counties.
CIM celebrates these transformation champions who not only preach but also live out the words of CIM's running scriptures; "To spend and be spent" (2 Cor 12:15) that all "may have life, and life in abundance" (John 19:10).
